The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Berreta FC's Cristian Nesto got a free kick in the 4th minute. Carolo Rufio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Damaso Sergi made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ledesma's zone, Ramiro Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Sergi came out of the goal and Ramiro Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carolo Rufio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damaso Sergi having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Carolo Rufio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damaso Sergi. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Carlos Piearres elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Jeronimo Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Chao Xiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ramiro Atarrabi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Berreta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Atarrabi couldn't finish the play. If Carolo Rufio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Piearres to strike the kick off in the second half. Carolo Rufio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Albano Ugaitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ledesma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berreta FC the free kick. After 66 played minutes Ledesma got a freekick which was hit by Albano Ugaitz. 68 minutes into the game, Carolo Rufio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Damaso Sergi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Piearres's late challenge caught a Berreta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Piearres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Carlos Piearres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Berreta FC's Ramiro Atarrabi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damaso Sergi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Damaso Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Atarrabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Berreta FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ledesma had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
