The La Gloriosa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dario Cordeara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ludvig Helberg having to make a save. Gonzalo Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludvig Helberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Cordeara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dario Cordeara came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Cordeara couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Benedicto Gai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Americo Ponciano. San Lorenzo de Almagro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedicto Gai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Americo Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Gai in the 22nd minute of play. La Gloriosa FC's Guillermo Lope got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Americo Ponciano came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by La Gloriosa FC's Pablo Oso. But to his dismay, Pablo Oso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 33 minutes into the match, Pablo Oso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Americo Ponciano. After some careless play in the San Lorenzo de Almagro defense, Pablo Oso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Americo Ponciano. The San Lorenzo de Almagro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Americo Ponciano should have stopped the shot. La Gloriosa FC's Benedicto Gai got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After a rather tough play, La Gloriosa FC's Pablo Oso got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of La Gloriosa FC booed when San Lorenzo de Almagro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dario Cordeara in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludvig Helberg saved La Gloriosa FC from getting behind. Benedicto Gai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Ponciano having to interfere. La Gloriosa FC made a substitution. Baldomiro Acuña replaced Guillermo Lope. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Benedicto Gai managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gloriosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Gai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Ponciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Americo Ponciano was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Benedicto Gai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benedicto Gai really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Ludvig Helberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dario Cordeara's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Benedicto Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
