Ciro Abadie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Victoriano Playo made a huge save. Arturo Henry scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Playo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardino Benitez hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ciro Abadie did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Victoriano Playo 17 minutes into the match. After 28 minutes, Celso Bernaldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marmol Futbol Club and the TheSimpsonFamily players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Marmol Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Celso Bernaldo. Victoriano Playo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Bernaldo in the 31st minute of the match. Cirilo Dayam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Rafel in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, TheSimpsonFamily's Victoriano Playo got control of the ball when Dionisio Casado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafin Maidana hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. TheSimpsonFamily's Ermegildo Patxi got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, TheSimpsonFamily's Segundo Gartzea got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Guillermo Aznar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marmol Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Henry to make the kick off. Omar Ignatius struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Cirilo Dayam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TheSimpsonFamily. In the 54th match minute, Marmol Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Bernaldo to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes TheSimpsonFamily got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Benitez. 58 minutes into the match, TheSimpsonFamily's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Abadie came free, but Victoriano Playo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by TheSimpsonFamily's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Omar Blasi was slow to take the kick. During this time Marmol Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. Marmol Futbol Club's Omar Blasi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victoriano Playo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Henry in the 65th minute of play forced TheSimpsonFamily's goalkeeper Victoriano Playo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Playo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 80th minute, Dionisio Casado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Marmol Futbol Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bartolo Rafel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ermegildo Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Anibal Acevedo fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marmol Futbol Club's protests and gave Anibal Acevedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of TheSimpsonFamily booed when Marmol Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Acevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Ciro Abadie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TheSimpsonFamily's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Marmol Futbol Club had won, even though TheSimpsonFamily had held more of the ball.
