Tiburcio Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Lohitzun having to interfere. Siro Lico struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Justo Lohitzun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguilar. Simon Lluis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Braulio Leoncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Aguilar's Tiburcio Gau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Basajaun in the 17th minute of play forced Aguilar's goalkeeper Simon Lluis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caspichango's Braulio Leoncio got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saturnino Iaki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Lluis. Aguilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Clemente Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caspichango's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Lluis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Lico couldn't finish the play. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aguilar! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Caspichango. Gavino Tuste stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Simon Lluis. 1-1. Aguilar's Simon Lluis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Aguilar from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Menendo during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caspichango booed when Aguilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aguilar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caspichango had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
