In the 3rd minute, Benedicto Mateo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Defensores de la Boca's Felipe Buinton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de la Boca from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Lop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Vistruario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Benedicto Mateo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Defensores de la Boca's Felipe Buinton. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Pasqual in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Buinton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Lop was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Cristobal Vistruario capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristobal Vistruario really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 60th match minute, Defensores de la Boca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Dolcet to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Pacho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Buinton. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ATALANTA fully deserved thier win.
