Spectators: 7061 (Terracing: 5297, Seating: 1624, VIP seats: 140) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andres Firmo got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Zeledon Furtado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Monteagudo FC's Vladimiro Rutenio. Vladimiro Rutenio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Villa Malcolm's Hilario Jaume got control of the ball when Angel Lander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hilario Inguma charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilario Inguma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Hilario Inguma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hilario Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anselmo Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monteagudo FC's Vladimiro Rutenio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Furtado in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Andres Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteagudo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Zeledon Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Villa Malcolm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Furtado couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Anselmo Innocenzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Malcolm's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Innocenzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Rutenio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hilario Inguma kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Angel Lander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to Monteagudo FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Artemio Vito hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Monteagudo FC's zone, Anselmo Innocenzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Rutenio came out of the goal and Anselmo Innocenzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Monteagudo FC's Ulises Christobal got a free kick in the 54th minute. Vladimiro Rutenio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Furtado in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Angel Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Villa Malcolm's Anselmo Innocenzio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Rutenio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hilario Inguma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Rutenio stood somewhat misplaced when Zeledon Furtado came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 71 minute. When Anselmo Innocenzio came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Villa Malcolm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Innocenzio couldn't finish the play. Anier Domiku charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Domiku the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Villa Malcolm got a freekick which was hit by Anier Domiku. Hilario Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Firmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Innocenzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zeledon Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Vladimiro Rutenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monteagudo FC's Vladimiro Rutenio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Furtado in the 93rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Villa Malcolm fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty!
