But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Paez couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the game, Spam F.C.'s Alberto Paez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Toribio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Farjad Abadian during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Spam F.C.'s Farjad Abadian got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes of play, Spam F.C.'s Inocencio Estefan made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Toribio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Spam F.C.'s Damaso Herensuge got control of the ball when Ismael Martxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Ismael Martxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mehmet Hamdi Çol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spam F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Hamdi Çol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Toribio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Spam F.C. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mehmet Hamdi Çol made the kick off in the second half. Inocencio Estefan kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Felix Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Spam F.C.'s Alberto Paez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Spam F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Hamdi Çol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Toribio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, one of Tacuaritas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tacuaritas. With his leg Teodoro Toribio managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Spam F.C.'s Mehmet Hamdi Çol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Alberto Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Tacuaritas's goalkeeper Teodoro Toribio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Hamdi Çol. Florentino Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Herensuge having to interfere. When Ismael Martxel fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacuaritas's protests and gave Ismael Martxel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Spam F.C. booed when Tacuaritas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Paez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
