Genaro Javiero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Orti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Vedillo. Mardel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Orti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Genaro Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Ferrando in the 22nd minute of play. Javier Romildo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Dario Anaya's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marco Vedillo firmly grabbed it by the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Salinas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Neto came free, but Genaro Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Vedillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Romildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Neto in the 35th minute of play forced Salinas AFC's goalkeeper Genaro Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Gaur hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Dario Anaya took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Marco Vedillo to make any attempt to save it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Neto made a kick off. Fidel Ferrando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Mardel's Celso Gaur seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Celso Gaur the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mardel protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Celso Gaur had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 56th minute, one of Mardel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mardel. In the 59th minute, Reynaldo Huly made a precise shot to the right of Marco Vedillo. Mardel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 63 minutes into the match, Mardel's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Anaya came free, but Marco Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Orti, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Dario Anaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Vedillo. Mardel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Anaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salinas AFC's goalkeeper Genaro Javiero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Vedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Orti in the 78th minute of play. Javier Romildo charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Romildo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Salinas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Romildo to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Mardel's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Anaya came free, but Marco Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Genaro Javiero made a huge save. If Elias Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hugo Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mardel's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Belmiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Elias Neto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genaro Javiero was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Mardel's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
