An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Tevez in the 15th minute of play forced Promocion 09's goalkeeper Justino Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Diez charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Diez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Promocion 09 booed when Rosario City Center FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Diez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Promocion 09's Fulgencio Gai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Pello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Gerardo Diez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Dubardo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Eugenio Franco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Justino Vasco. Promocion 09's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raul Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Gai in the 24th minute of play. When Fulgencio Gai came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Promocion 09 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Gai couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute of the match Danilo Quilino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justino Vasco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Tevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justino Vasco having to make a save. If Carlos Tevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Fernado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulgencio Gai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Pello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Carlos Tevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulgencio Gai made a kick off. Carlos Tevez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Justino Vasco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Carlos Tevez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raul Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Urbasa in the 61st minute of the match. Godofredo Urbasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosario City Center FC made a substitution. Silvio Jerold replaced Gerardo Diez. Danilo Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Carlos Tevez spun around in front of the goal 77 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Promocion 09's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Urbasa in the 79th minute of play forced Rosario City Center FC's goalkeeper Raul Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Quilino thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Raul Pello, a very annoying self made goal in the 81st minute which led to 1-0. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Promocion 09's goalkeeper Justino Vasco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Danilo Quilino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosario City Center FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Promocion 09 the free kick. After 92 played minutes Rosario City Center FC got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Quilino. When Godofredo Urbasa fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Promocion 09's protests and gave Godofredo Urbasa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Promocion 09's Godofredo Urbasa got a free kick in the 94th minute. Carlos Tevez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Rosario City Center FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rosario City Center FC's Carlos Tevez got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Promocion 09 had won after a very even match.
