After 3 played minutes Avellaneda Silverbacks got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Lauren. Wilfredo Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lluques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Avellaneda Silverbacks got a freekick which was hit by Adan Atauri. After 11 played minutes Villares got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Petrigai. Villares's Victor Selatse suffered a sore foot after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Jose Goizeder fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avellaneda Silverbacks's protests and gave Jose Goizeder a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Goizeder kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Mariano Lluques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lluques in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Avellaneda Silverbacks got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Lauren. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villares's goalkeeper Ladislao Fagildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilfredo Vargas came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Villares's Sixto Merexildo. But to his dismay, Sixto Merexildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Edorta in the 33rd minute of play forced Avellaneda Silverbacks's goalkeeper Wilfredo Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joaquin Lauren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Avellaneda Silverbacks booed when Villares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Lauren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Fagildo having to interfere. After the first half Villares were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adan Atauri was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Merexildo in the 55th minute of play forced Avellaneda Silverbacks's goalkeeper Wilfredo Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Lauren charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Lauren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victorino Edorta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Wilfredo Vargas made a huge save. After having played for 73 minutes, Sixto Merexildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villares's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Merexildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Avellaneda Silverbacks got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Lauren. Wilfredo Vargas came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Villares's Victorino Edorta. But to his dismay, Victorino Edorta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Avellaneda Silverbacks's Wilfredo Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Merexildo in the 95th minute of play.
