Spectators: 6721 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sixto Arnalt kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Virgilio Sotero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Gastres AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Sotero came free, but Ermegildo Mannie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Gastres AFC's Rosendo Argoitz got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ermegildo Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Sotero in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Constantino Ferman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Alfonso Feo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Sotero might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Mannie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Sotero ran back to his position shaking his head. Siro Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Mannie having to interfere. Siro Hulberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Mannie having to make a save. Banfield City Football's Virgilio Sotero got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ermegildo Mannie came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield City Football's Siro Hulberto. But to his dismay, Siro Hulberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Siro Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Mannie having to interfere. Virgilio Sotero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ermegildo Mannie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Hulberto got free with Ermegildo Mannie in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gastres AFC's Ermegildo Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Sotero in the 46th minute of play. Virgilio Sotero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Mannie having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siro Hulberto was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gastres AFC's zone, Virgilio Sotero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Mannie came out of the goal and Virgilio Sotero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Horacio Maiorga suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Banfield City Football's Abelardo Lizardi was substituted for Horacio Maiorga. Severo Caetano kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Gastres AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Feo to maneuver through the defense. Banfield City Football's Virgilio Sotero got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siro Hulberto struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ermegildo Mannie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield City Football. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Sotero in the 81st minute of play forced Gastres AFC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Mannie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Virgilio Sotero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Siro Hulberto came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Banfield City Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Hulberto couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Banfield City Football's Virgilio Sotero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermegildo Mannie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that Banfield City Football were the better team. Banfield City Football's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
