Generoso Isauro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emanuel Mel. Granate FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Nicholas in the 9th minute of play forced Granate FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Granate FC! In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Bermejo FC. Leo Mancio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emanuel Mel. 0-1. Agustin Vanzini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Vanzini in the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Bermejo FC's Jorge Francis got control of the ball when Delmiro Sidro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Domingos Nicholas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bermejo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Nicholas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Mel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Cuartio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bermejo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granate FC the free kick. Hermengildo Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Bermejo FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Nicholas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Isauro during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agustin Vanzini succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Granate FC's Agustin Vanzini got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bermejo FC's Hermengildo Cuartio got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Hermengildo Cuartio off the ground. Bermejo FC's Jorge Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Vanzini in the 96th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Agustin Vanzini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Francis was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Leo Mancio hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Granate FC were the better team. Granate FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
