Hector Illan made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Adam Nakoneczny sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Nakoneczny in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Illan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Nakoneczny in the 29th minute of play forced Guatana FC's goalkeeper Hector Illan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guatana FC's players were relieved. 41 minutes into the match, Marcelino Quintyn notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Buenos Aires Galaxy's Frank Bittencourt. Frank Bittencourt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the game, Guatana FC's Emanuel Mannuel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Bittencourt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Guatana FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelino Quintyn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Adam Nakoneczny who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guatana FC's Hector Illan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th match minute, Guatana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. Adam Nakoneczny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Illan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Hector Illan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Nakoneczny's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Marcelino Firmin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Hector Illan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Nakoneczny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Angel Edur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buenos Aires Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Edur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Buenos Aires Galaxy fully deserved thier win.
