Lorenzo Lalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Milian in the 18th minute of play forced Ciénaga FC's goalkeeper Etxahun Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Generoso Medardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Leonides Abeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ciénaga FC defense, Dalmacio Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Etxahun Vidal. The Ciénaga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Etxahun Vidal should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Osmundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Etxahun Vidal. Ciénaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmacio Osmundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Etxahun Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Cibran in the 34th minute of play. Celedonio Dominix charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celedonio Dominix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pocitos AFC's Celedonio Dominix got a free kick in the 35th minute. Etxahun Vidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Generoso Medardo went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Etxahun Vidal came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pocitos AFC's Celedonio Dominix. But to his dismay, Celedonio Dominix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celedonio Dominix made a kick off. Saverio Hanni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Generoso Medardo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Saverio Hanni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenzo Lalla was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Melquiades Honrio's late challenge caught a Pocitos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Honrio helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Pocitos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Medardo. Lorenzo Lalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saverio Hanni's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 69th match minute, Pocitos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Cortez to maneuver through the defense. Etxahun Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Cibran in the 73rd minute. In the 75th match minute, Ciénaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Honrio to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ciénaga FC's Etxahun Vidal got control of the ball when Silvano Quentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dalmacio Osmundo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Etxahun Vidal came out and tried to block the shot, but Dalmacio Osmundo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 81st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Pocitos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Osmundo to maneuver through the defense. When Fabian Cibran came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pocitos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Cibran couldn't finish the play. Saverio Hanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Lalla having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Pocitos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Medardo to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Pocitos AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ciénaga FC throughout the match.
