With a little luck, Club Amigos Unidos's Tobias Demesio got control of the ball when Hernan Txindoki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes of play, Club Amigos Unidos's Braulio Ferrando made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Locaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tobias Demesio made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lorenzo Txerran sent off a good shot on target. Tobias Demesio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Chano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Locaio came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Amigos Unidos's Benedicto Mundo. But to his dismay, Benedicto Mundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 33rd match minute, Club Amigos Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute of the match, Americo Chano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias Demesio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tobias Demesio was a little too slow when Americo Chano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Ruy during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Zeledon Locaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Mundo in the 51st minute. The supporters of Club Amigos Unidos booed when Telaritos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Txindoki during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hernan Txindoki hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Telaritos FC got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Chinto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Txindoki in the 65th minute of play forced Club Amigos Unidos's goalkeeper Tobias Demesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Hernan Txindoki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Demesio. Club Amigos Unidos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Txindoki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Tobias Demesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 played minutes Club Amigos Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Weterio. If Lorenzo Txerran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th match minute, Club Amigos Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Ruy to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Club Amigos Unidos booed when Telaritos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Telaritos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Zeledon Locaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Mundo in the 89th minute. Casimiro Oriol kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Braulio Ferrando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Zeledon Locaio made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Amancio Amato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Telaritos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Amato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Demesio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentin Bilintx received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeledon Locaio came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentin Bilintx slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 97th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Telaritos FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
