He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palito De La Selva reached it. 5 minutes into the game, Telaritos FC's Amancio Amato nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Nunez Grabiel fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Telaritos FC's protests and gave Nunez Grabiel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Telaritos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Grabiel to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Tximitx scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Locaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Zeledon Locaio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 25th minute Lorenzo Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Txerran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Amancio Amato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Telaritos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Amato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Txerran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Enrique Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Amato in the 48th minute of play.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Chano in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Barros saved Palito De La Selva from getting behind. If Amancio Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Amancio Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Amato in the 60th minute of play forced Palito De La Selva's goalkeeper Enrique Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Palito De La Selva's Isidoro Senen got a free kick in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Txerran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute of the match Isidoro Senen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Locaio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amancio Amato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telaritos FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Palito De La Selva had won, even though Telaritos FC had held more of the ball.
