Timbues FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adan Arano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Iker Oroitz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Melquiades Rico skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iker Oroitzs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Melquiades Rico to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, Adan Arano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Chumo. The referee ignored Timbues FC's protests and gave Natalio Kiliz a yellow card for diving instead. 79 minutes into the game, one of Timbues FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Gartzi in the 86th minute of play forced Timbues FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Chumo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Fonda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Rico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Melquiades Rico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Oroitz's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vilelas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Timbues FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
