Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aquiles Luix kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tambillos's zone, Aquiles Luix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Kiliz came out of the goal and Aquiles Luix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Abajas struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Silvano Fagildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tambillos. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Edgard Abajas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tambillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Abajas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severo Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Abajas in the 16th minute of play forced corrientes FC's goalkeeper Silvano Fagildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, corrientes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, corrientes FC's Silvano Fagildo got control of the ball when Edgard Abajas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tambillos's Gustavo Luar got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 25 played minutes corrientes FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Efraim. The supporters of Tambillos booed when corrientes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Venceslao didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edgard Abajas sped through corrientes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silvano Fagildo. In the 43rd play minute Edgard Abajas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silvano Fagildo. 2-0. Joaquin Venceslao hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Tambillos's Marcelo Haitz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Abajas to make the kick off. Joaquin Venceslao hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the corrientes FC defense, Edgard Abajas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvano Fagildo. The corrientes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvano Fagildo should have stopped the shot. Silvano Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Abajas in the 60th minute of play. Tambillos's Severo Cresconio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Abajas struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Bartolo Txeru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvano Fagildo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Humberto Kiliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Luix in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match corrientes FC got a corner. Tambillos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulino Licerio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ceferino Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Txeru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. corrientes FC's Silvano Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Calixto in the 83rd minute of play. The tension between the Tambillos and the corrientes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvano Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Calixto in the 98th minute of play. Tambillos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
