The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ildefonso Niva kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Hugo Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Natalio Oliviero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Medellín's Mateo Jurgi got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Hugo Garikoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hugo Garikoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Jurgi might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natalio Oliviero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Jurgi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hugo Garikoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Jurgi in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Oliviero saved Chuchuwa from getting behind.
