In the 18th minute, Bernabe Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Omar Frasco took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Benito Bittor to make any attempt to save it. 27 minutes into the match, Porteño Club de Futbol's goalkeeper Benito Bittor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Bazkoare. Anier Gaskon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Baristo in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Amado Baristo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of c.e.p's Anier Gaskon. Anier Gaskon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the c.e.p defense, Sebastian Ranolfo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anier Gaskon. The c.e.p fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anier Gaskon should have stopped the shot. Anier Gaskon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Ranolfo in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Porteño Club de Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Santo came free, but Benito Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Montrelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Aureliano Montrelle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porteño Club de Futbol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Berdoi to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Baltasar Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Bittor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Hegoi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Baltasar Berdoi struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Baltasar Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. c.e.p's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Bittor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Porteño Club de Futbol booed when c.e.p was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Berdoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Bazkoare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Javier Calixto could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Anier Gaskon however easily saved by the left post. Omar Frasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Bazkoare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Porteño Club de Futbol succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though c.e.p had controlled the match.
