After a defensive mix-up in Huaco's zone, Rolando Lizardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor do Valle came out of the goal and Rolando Lizardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Vítor do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Lizardi in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Silvio Lizbeth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Vítor do Valle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Tomas Guter fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United's protests and gave Tomas Guter a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tomas Guter hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Mândru in the 14th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Fulgencio Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tauno Mäntylä managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Tauno Mäntylä was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Raymon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Tauno Mäntylä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mircea Mândru scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulgencio Raymon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horacio Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Horacio Tab came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Huaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Tab couldn't finish the play. Mircea Mândru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 54th minute Daniel Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircea Mândru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Raymon having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Fulgencio Raymon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Huaco's zone, Rolando Lizardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor do Valle came out of the goal and Rolando Lizardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mircea Mândru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mircea Mândru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Raymon having to interfere. Fulgencio Raymon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauno Mäntylä, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Manchester United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Mircea Mândru scored to the left of an out of position Fulgencio Raymon, making the score, 0-3. After having played for 79 minutes, Mircea Mândru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mircea Mândru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulgencio Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Mândru in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Tauno Mäntylä managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Tauno Mäntylä was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Raymon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horacio Tab took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Raymon. Fulgencio Raymon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 91st minute, Rolando Lizardi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. When Horacio Tab came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Huaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Tab couldn't finish the play. Huaco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
