In the 23rd minute, Iker Garaile made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Llope. TWELVE MONKEYS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Juventud Las Piedras's zone, Abel Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Bernal came out of the goal and Abel Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Marin in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Llope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of TWELVE MONKEYS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Juventud Las Piedras:s goal. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Juventud Las Piedras. Iker Garaile stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fabian Llope. 0-3. Fabian Llope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Obeko in the 35th minute of play. TWELVE MONKEYS's Artemio Domenec was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bernabe Bernal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Rodriguez in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Juventud Las Piedras's Bernabe Bernal got control of the ball when Artemio Domenec tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Albino Marin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Juventud Las Piedras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Marin couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

51 minutes into the game, Artemio Domenec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Bernabe Bernal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabian Llope was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Camilo Manny. Bernabe Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Ermengol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Abel Rodriguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe Bernal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After having played for 65 minutes, Candido Ermengol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TWELVE MONKEYS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Ermengol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Llope came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Juventud Las Piedras's Ubaldo Obeko. But to his dismay, Ubaldo Obeko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Fabian Llope made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Albino Marin sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Marin in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Llope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute Abel Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juventud Las Piedras's Camilo Manny shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabian Llope but with some difficulty. Albino Marin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Fabian Llope skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iker Garaile got free with Fabian Llope in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Juventud Las Piedras's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Rodriguez came free, but Bernabe Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Endura in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Abel Rodriguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Bernal. Juventud Las Piedras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Rodriguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4.
