The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justino Guipuzkoa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. López's Cristian Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Botello in the 86th minute of play. Benigno Lonzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Calisto having to make a save.
