Alarico Gomar might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Jurgi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alarico Gomar ran back to his position shaking his head. When Alarico Gomar came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the El Equipo Holandes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alarico Gomar couldn't finish the play. El Equipo Holandes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Maximo Fortun scored to the left of an out of position Iker Casillas, making the score, 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Alarico Gomar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Jurgi. Mechongué FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alarico Gomar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Iker Casillas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabian Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alarico Gomar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute of the match El Equipo Holandes got a corner. Mechongué FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clodoveo Llin ran over to the corner to take the kick. El Equipo Holandes's Clodoveo Llin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Jurgi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alarico Gomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Jurgi having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Mechongué FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Quilino came free, but Fabian Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Pueblo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Evelio Quilino notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mechongué FC's Fabian Jurgi. Fabian Jurgi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alarico Gomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Jurgi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mechongué FC's Pedro Efraim got a free kick in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Evelio Quilino took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Fabian Jurgi to make any attempt to save it. After 70 played minutes El Equipo Holandes got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Oliviero. In the 72nd minute of the match Pedro Efraim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Casillas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute Carlos Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Alarico Gomar managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Equipo Holandes's supporters rose to their feet, but Alarico Gomar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Jurgi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Mechongué FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El Equipo Holandes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
