The referee gave Fermin Ignatius a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 33rd match minute, Batavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Vila's Cristo Osorio got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Severiano Dalmau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batavia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Anier Quilo scored to the left of an out of position Silvio Guifre, making the score, 2-3. 92 minutes into the match, Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Edorta came free, but Luis Iraido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vila's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
