The tension between the Morillo and the Camachui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reynaldo Servando hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Guaberto Tulio made a precise shot to the right of Cleto Tavio. Morillo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot by Candido Camerino from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Joachim Ilmark's attention. The Camachui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Ilmark should have stopped the shot. Camachui's Romulo Xabat was substituted for Cleto Piearres. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Morillo were victorious despite being under pressure from Camachui for much of the match.
