After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Teofilo Eleder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Par's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Eleder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Felo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Mauricio Hibai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Felo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Mauricio Hibai hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Vistruario to make the kick off. Lucas Jerardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Vistruario in the 54th minute of play. Jonas Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Domingos Oriol sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deportivo Par's Lucas Jerardo didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Par's zone, Marcos Vistruario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Jerardo came out of the goal and Marcos Vistruario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Jerardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Vistruario, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Marcos Vistruario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Benedicto Bartoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Deportivo Par's goalkeeper Lucas Jerardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Bartoli. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Marcos Vistruario took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lucas Jerardo to make any attempt to save it. Deportivo Par's Teofilo Eleder got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Pirañas Futbol Club's Camilo Frasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucas Jerardo. That made the score 1-3 after 97 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pirañas Futbol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
