Geronimo Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Munio in the 16th minute of the match. When Dionisio Ostadar fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saenz Peña's protests and gave Dionisio Ostadar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Saenz Peña was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Ostadar to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Arnau in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Saenz Peña's Dionisio Ostadar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Regis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-4. Saenz Peña's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
