Elvio Oliverio charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elvio Oliverio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elvio Oliverio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Adrian Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Tacupampa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Sotil to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tacupampa 's Humberto Moise got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Rafael Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Abadie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedernera's Everardo Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Moise in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Adan Abadie made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Rios. Pedernera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Froila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Tacupampa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Nel to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Lorencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Benedicto Confesor kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Tacupampa defense, Fermin Lorencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Stephen. The Tacupampa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Stephen should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Rafael Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Stephen came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Pedernera's Fermin Lorencio. But to his dismay, Fermin Lorencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 70 minutes into the game, Adan Abadie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Everardo Rios was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victoriano Stephen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Lorencio's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Adan Abadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Francho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Stephen having to interfere. Victoriano Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Lorencio in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Froila in the 95th minute of play forced Tacupampa 's goalkeeper Victoriano Stephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
