After 16 minutes, Gaudencio Chale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knight Of Dawn and the Santamarina AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Knight Of Dawn got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Chale. Knight Of Dawn's Luisito Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Fernanco in the 18th minute of play. Luisito Rocio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Fernanco in the 20th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Knight Of Dawn's Gaudencio Chale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geronimo Abilio. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. When Teobaldo Martxel fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knight Of Dawn's protests and gave Teobaldo Martxel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Knight Of Dawn getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Diego Castel charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Castel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geronimo Abilio made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Delmar Modestio sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Carolo Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Rocio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Rocio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Timo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carolo Fernanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geronimo Abilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Chale in the 52nd minute of the match. Knight Of Dawn's Delmar Modestio got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ambrosio Oier was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. Santamarina AFC's Tadeo Selmo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andres Otsoko in the 61 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Fernanco in the 66th minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Luisito Rocio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Delmar Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Santamarina AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Zeledon Lazcano hit a great ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Efrain Bittor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santamarina AFC's Geronimo Abilio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Knight Of Dawn's Luisito Rocio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Knight Of Dawn from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Matias Tancredo could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Luisito Rocio however easily saved by the left post. Celso Timo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Honorato Modestio fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santamarina AFC's protests and gave Honorato Modestio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santamarina AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Honorato Modestio hit a great ball. In the 82ndth minute Abel Refugio easily got through Santamarina AFC's defense and fired away a shot, but Geronimo Abilio leaped left and performed a fabulous save. Carolo Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Knight Of Dawn's Delmar Modestio in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santamarina AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute, Delmar Modestio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Teobaldo Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knight Of Dawn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Martxel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
