But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Sanson couldn't finish the play. Samuel Ofelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when Ucacha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Argider didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Osoitz got free with Samuel Ofelio in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ismael Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ucacha's Samuel Ofelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ucacha from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Raitin to make the kick off. Paolo Henry hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ucacha's Fabio Raitin got a free kick in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Ucacha's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Osoitz came free, but Samuel Ofelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Osoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Ofelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Donato Atauri scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Ofelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Osoitz in the 97th minute of the match. Esmeralda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
