In the 20th minute, Academic F.C's Laureano Ipar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeo Lamberto. Amadeo Lamberto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Amadeo Lamberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anastasio Baldovino's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a little luck, El Pelotero F.C's Amadeo Lamberto got control of the ball when Laureano Ipar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academic F.C's Fabio Astudillo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Amato Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Lalla having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, El Pelotero F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Ipar came free, but Amadeo Lamberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
