After the first half Nethago FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gualterio Cordearo made the kick off in the second half. Delmiro Itzaina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Cordearo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Peruxu got free with Pablo Giraldo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddy Peruxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Pablo Giraldo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Cornelio Tebaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nethago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Tebaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Giraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Peruxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 95th minute of the game Uriel Beturian made a throw-in which Gualterio Cordearo played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Cordearo in the 96th minute of play forced Nethago FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Itzaina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Nethago FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nethago FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
