Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Enekoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Saturnino Pacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Handi in the 5th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Velloso AFC's corner Eduardo Solustiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abelardo Vergaray quite easily take care of the ball. Fermin Handi charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fermin Handi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fermin Handi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the last second Abelardo Vergaray throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dalmacio Rosario in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Salvatore got free with Abelardo Vergaray in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gustavo Frans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Velloso AFC's Ovidio Enekoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Velloso AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Frans came free, but Saturnino Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Chacharramendi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Enekoitz came free, but Abelardo Vergaray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Chacharramendi AFC booed when Velloso AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Salvatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Handi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Saturnino Pacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Velloso AFC defense, Fermin Handi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Pacho. The Velloso AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Pacho should have stopped the shot. If Fermin Handi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Handi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Pacho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jeronimo Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velloso AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Baladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Vergaray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, Velloso AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Handi came free, but Saturnino Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Chacharramendi AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ovidio Enekoitz to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Fermin Handi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Saturnino Pacho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abelardo Vergaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Enekoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Handi got free with Saturnino Pacho in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 61 minutes, Edelmiro Nardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacharramendi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Nardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eduardo Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edelmiro Navarro's late challenge caught a Velloso AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chacharramendi AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Edelmiro Navarro hit a great ball. Abelardo Vergaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Peli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Salvatore scored 1-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Vergaray, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Chacharramendi AFC's zone, Ovidio Enekoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Vergaray came out of the goal and Ovidio Enekoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, Velloso AFC's Jeronimo Baladi made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Vergaray was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fermin Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ovidio Enekoitz took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Vergaray. Abelardo Vergaray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Abelardo Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Enekoitz in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Velloso AFC were the better team. Velloso AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
