In the 3rd minute, Ruperto Silvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruperto Silvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Mitxaut having to interfere. Cafe Del Mar's Ruperto Silvino got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gregorio Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Newells Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Fix came free, but Tiburcio Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Lino Fix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cafe Del Mar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ramiro Indar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ignacio Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Rami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Widberg in the 36th minute of the match. When Newells Toro's Oskar Widberg in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cafe Del Mar's goalie prevented a goal. Cafe Del Mar's Ignacio Rami proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Cafe Del Mar from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gregorio Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells Toro's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Fidele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Rami breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Oskar Widberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oskar Widberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ramiro Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Curcio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ramiro Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Curcio during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Ricardo Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Indar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ignacio Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruperto Silvino charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruperto Silvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ruperto Silvino hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cafe Del Mar's goalkeeper Ignacio Rami, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Newells Toro were the better team. Newells Toro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
