Velloso AFC's Desiderio Peli pulled a muscle in his leg after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Velloso AFC's Ermegildo Eztebe was substituted for Desiderio Peli. Jeronimo Baladi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Tiburcio Mitxaut made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Newells Toro's goalkeeper Tiburcio Mitxaut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidio Enekoitz. After 29 played minutes Velloso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Eztebe. With a little luck, Newells Toro's Tiburcio Mitxaut got control of the ball when Ovidio Enekoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Oskar Widberg made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gregorio Fidele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Rosario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Mitxaut having to make a save. Jeronimo Baladi struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tiburcio Mitxaut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The Velloso AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Newells Toro to win.
