The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Sportivo El Palomar getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Candido Igon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Chuan in the 5th minute of play forced Sportivo El Palomar's goalkeeper Lanny Faust to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Sportivo El Palomar's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Chuan came free, but Lanny Faust reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Quico made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Rosendo Arce sent off a good shot on target. Luisito Quico was a little too slow when Rosendo Arce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ivan Umea struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Luisito Quico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo El Palomar. Lanny Faust showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Chuan in the 18th minute of the match. Candido Igon charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Igon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Sportivo El Palomar got a freekick which was hit by Candido Igon. Luisito Quico was a little too slow when Saul Dominix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, Svalbard's Luisito Quico got control of the ball when Rosendo Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damaso Galeno's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luisito Quico firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mario Weterio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Dominix in the 39th minute of play forced Svalbard's goalkeeper Luisito Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Igon took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Quico. Luisito Quico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 44 minutes into the match, Svalbard's goalkeeper Luisito Quico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Galeno. When Angelino Chuan fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Svalbard's protests and gave Angelino Chuan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Svalbard's Angelino Chuan got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luisito Quico made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Rosendo Arce sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Candido Igon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lanny Faust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Chuan in the 57th minute of play. If Rosendo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Sportivo El Palomar's Saul Dominix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisito Quico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lanny Faust showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Atauri in the 63rd minute of the match. Rosendo Arce hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rosendo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luisito Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Kinsen charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Kinsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Sportivo El Palomar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Kinsen to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Isaias Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Dominix, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Isaias Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo El Palomar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Jakobe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo El Palomar's zone, Fabio Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lanny Faust came out of the goal and Fabio Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Svalbard booed when Sportivo El Palomar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Weterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Rosendo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo El Palomar's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisito Quico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damaso Galeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Luisito Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Dominix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sportivo El Palomar had played much better football throughout.
