Luciano Vergaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Kaiet, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Rumaldo got free with Luciano Vergaray in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Brown getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ramon Igon hit a great ball. Ruperto Deunoro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Luciano Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Ixona in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Universitario de América's Hipolito Firman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 28th minute, Igor Rumaldo made a precise shot to the right of Luciano Vergaray. Brown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Cipriano Kaiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luciano Vergaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Universitario de América's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Igor Rumaldo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Luciano Vergaray was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Kaiet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. Igor Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Vergaray made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Igor Rumaldo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Brown booed when Universitario de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Ur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfred Ernager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Bikendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ruperto Deunoro made the kick off in the second half. Luciano Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Rumaldo in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Rumaldo came free, but Luciano Vergaray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Ruperto Deunoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario de América the free kick. After 58 played minutes Brown got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Deunoro. After a defensive mix-up in Brown's zone, Igor Rumaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Vergaray came out of the goal and Igor Rumaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Universitario de América's Igor Rumaldo in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brown's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th match minute, Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Restu to maneuver through the defense. When Marcelo Bermudo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Universitario de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Bermudo couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Igor Rumaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Universitario de América had played much better football throughout.
