The supporters of Maverick booed when BANFIELD F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, BANFIELD F.C's Orlando Perico got a free kick in the 5th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Omar Lauren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Madeo. BANFIELD F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Lauren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Guaberto Madeo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Peyo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Isidoro Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Gonzo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Benat in the 26th minute of play forced BANFIELD F.C's goalkeeper Guaberto Madeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BANFIELD F.C were furious when Gabriel Neves was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 30 played minutes BANFIELD F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Neves. It was beautiful to see Maverick's Bonifacio Baudelio in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Teofilo Lesardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Gonzo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Peyo to strike the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Merexildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Guaberto Madeo made a huge save. Aristides Loi might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damaso Gonzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristides Loi ran back to his position shaking his head. 61 minutes into the match, Eloy Benat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guaberto Madeo, 0-3. Damaso Gonzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Belasko went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute Edelmiro Merexildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Madeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Belasko struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Damaso Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANFIELD F.C. Teofilo Lesardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Gonzo having to interfere. Damaso Gonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Teofilo Lesardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Damaso Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BANFIELD F.C's Leonel Bernal got a free kick in the 94th minute. Omar Lauren in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guaberto Madeo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The BANFIELD F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maverick were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
