In the 17th minute of the match Abel Frasquito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonatan Joachim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th minute of the game Mauricio Garcia made a throw-in which Mario Bernal played forward. Jonatan Joachim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Raphael, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Escobar AFC's goalkeeper Dario Senio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Ayala. Mario Bernal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dario Senio came out and tried to block the shot, but Mario Bernal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 40th minute. Jonatan Joachim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Perpinya in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Generoso Perpinya was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Flavio Manex put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Escobar AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave El Torero FC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eriberto Txilar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Escobar AFC's Dario Senio. 2-2. The long shot by Erasmo Elazar in the 60th minute really tested Jonatan Joachim's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, El Torero FC's Albino Menendo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Generoso Perpinya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonatan Joachim came out and tried to block the shot, but Generoso Perpinya slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Escobar AFC defense, Abelardo Ayala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Senio. The Escobar AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Senio should have stopped the shot. Abelardo Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Senio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Bernal went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 83 minutes, Abelardo Ayala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Torero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Ayala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Senio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Ayala in the 88th minute of the match. Nicolas Truylos struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jonatan Joachim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escobar AFC.
