When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ljubo Bonačić put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jose Bertin. 13 minutes into the game, santos f.c's Ljubo Bonačić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Bertin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 19th minute, Macabeo Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ljubo Bonačić came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the santos f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ljubo Bonačić couldn't finish the play. The supporters of santos f.c booed when Apeleg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Jerrald didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match, Marcelino Jerrald got a very nice opportunity to score, but Maximino Ubarna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Lisandro Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apeleg's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Feliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Ubarna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Macabeo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ljubo Bonačić took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Bertin. Jose Bertin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Macabeo Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When santos f.c's Ljubo Bonačić in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apeleg's goalie prevented a goal. If Macabeo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Feliz made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Ljubo Bonačić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. santos f.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ljubo Bonačić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lisandro Feliz took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Ubarna. Maximino Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 58th minute Macabeo Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Bertin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Simon Seber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apeleg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave santos f.c the free kick. The supporters of santos f.c booed when Apeleg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Seber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macabeo Mendez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Bertin having to make a save. Macabeo Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jose Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Apeleg getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Severiano Botello hit a great ball. Jose Bertin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelo Leobardo. If Macabeo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Bertin was a little too slow when Ljubo Bonačić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-4. After 84 minutes, Eulalio Suero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apeleg and the santos f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute of the match, Macabeo Mendez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jose Bertin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Simon Seber got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
