After 10 minutes, Ildefonso Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gallo Rojo and the FC PIPI players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC PIPI made a substitution. Silvestre Ospin replaced Claudio Lopes. A collision led to Gallo Rojo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ildefonso Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Marcial Danel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Gaizkine was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 17th minute, Cesar Henry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Gaizkine was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 20th match minute, Gallo Rojo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 25 minutes into the game, one of Gallo Rojo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeremias Avellaneda walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 37th minute Jeremias Avellaneda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Gaizkine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Haitz in the 38th minute of play forced Gallo Rojo's goalkeeper Fulgencio Gaizkine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Avellaneda hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The Gallo Rojo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC PIPI were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everardo Gorbea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Gaizkine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Danel in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gallo Rojo's Arnaldo Restu got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes of play, FC PIPI's Silvestre Ospin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulgencio Gaizkine was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Gallo Rojo's goalkeeper Fulgencio Gaizkine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Danel. In the 71st minute, Leonel Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Gaizkine was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After 75 played minutes Gallo Rojo got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Sayveon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Barros got free with Fulgencio Gaizkine in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gallo Rojo's Fulgencio Gaizkine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Gallo Rojo from getting a goal against them. Fulgencio Gaizkine was a little too slow when Leonel Barros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-5.
