Adrianinho Simão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Tushnolobov went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Leonel Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Gaxan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10thth minute of the game Hugo Gaxan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rompepelotas's Leonel Javiero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Everardo Bazil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rompepelotas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresso the free kick. Everardo Bazil hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Sergio Ilazki was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Evaristo Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Lázaro Fliz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Javiero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hugo Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Javiero having to interfere. Progresso's Adrianinho Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Bakar in the 35th minute of play. Flavio Dubardo scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonel Javiero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Progresso's Adrianinho Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Barros in the 44th minute of play. Leonel Javiero made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Flavio Dubardo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Rompepelotas's Leonel Javiero got control of the ball when Flavio Dubardo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Adrianinho Simão came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rompepelotas's Manuel Barros. But to his dismay, Manuel Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Progresso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Jonatan Bakar scored to the left of an out of position Adrianinho Simão, making the score, 2-3. Adrianinho Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Opilano, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rompepelotas's Emil Kellbom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrianinho Simão. That made the score 2-4 after 65 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the match, Progresso's goalkeeper Adrianinho Simão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Kellbom. In the 75th minute, Hugo Gaxan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Progresso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 81st minute, Flavio Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Flavio Dubardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-4. Leonel Javiero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrianinho Simão was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Everardo Bazil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Everardo Bazil really showed his touch with that goal: 4-5. Rompepelotas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
