Luis Hulberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Pabla having to interfere. Maximo Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paulo Pabla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Henric hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Eloy Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Delmar Valery dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Delmar Valery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Henric in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Maximo Matthew's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Pabla was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
