Jeronimo Playo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesus Luke. Jesus Luke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Victorino Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorino Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jesus Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geryone FC's Victorino Hermon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorino Hermon in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Luke saved Buena Vista Social Club from getting behind. Cayetano James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Juan Raúl Riquelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Marcelino Bartuelo made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th play minute Jeronimo Playo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jesus Luke. 0-5. Victorino Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jesus Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jeronimo Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rolando Cai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Cai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Bartuelo in the 67th minute of play. Geryone FC's Victorino Hermon got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelino Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Buena Vista Social Club's goalkeeper Jesus Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Playo. Victorino Hermon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Luke having to interfere. Jesus Luke was a little too slow when Victorino Hermon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-6. Marcelino Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Cai having to interfere. Rolando Cai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Bartuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geryone FC played a much better game than Buena Vista Social Club and deserved their victory. The Buena Vista Social Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
