Frédson Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Bidun having to interfere. Wilfredo Mendebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Urbano Jesco came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cañete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Jesco couldn't finish the play. Benedicto Millrick scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Hitzeder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honorio Bidun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Meirelles in the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frédson Meirelles in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honorio Bidun saved Cañete FC from getting behind. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Cañete FC's goalkeeper Honorio Bidun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Meirelles. Las Heras F.C's Celso Hitzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Millrick in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Jesco to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Meirelles in the 54th minute of play forced Cañete FC's goalkeeper Honorio Bidun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Bidun came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Las Heras F.C's Frédson Meirelles. But to his dismay, Frédson Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cesar Otsoko came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Celso Hitzeder could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Cañete FC's Isidro Obeko got a free kick in the 96th minute. Las Heras F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
