Virgilio Matthew was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Alpatacal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Virgilio Matthew scored to the left of an out of position Ramon Orti, making the score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the game, Americo Anaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpatacal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pájaro Negro the free kick. After 29 played minutes Alpatacal got a freekick which was hit by Americo Anaya. If Lisandro Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
