Basajaun Homar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorato Goito was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Racing Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 24 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Romero. After 26 played minutes Defensores de Longchamps got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Natanael. Betinho Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Palmeira. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Natanael made a kick off. Juan Estebe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Cordara in the 52nd minute. Evaristo Luzaide hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes Defensores de Longchamps got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Gaufred. A collision led to Defensores de Longchamps getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Eliseo Flores hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes Defensores de Longchamps got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Cordara. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Claudio Cordeara hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Romero during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baltasar Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ladislao Natanael struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Juan Estebe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Longchamps. Eliseo Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Estebe having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Defensores de Longchamps's Ladislao Natanael ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juan Estebe. Juan Estebe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Gabriel Gartzea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basajaun Homar's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes Defensores de Longchamps got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Bieito. 86 minutes into the match, Defensores de Longchamps's goal looked a bit too open when Basajaun Homar came free, but Gabriel Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Basajaun Homar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gabriel Gartzea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Palmeira in the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Defensores de Longchamps getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Astor Bermudo hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Arnulfo Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle went the supporters of Defensores de Longchamps were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Racing Club side.
