The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of C.A.KIMBERLEY booed when DEVILL RED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Larpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, DEVILL RED's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Bero came free, but Gervasio Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gervasio Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Dalmai in the 10th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as DEVILL RED's Cristian Eskuin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidio Ferrando. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind DEVILL RED's goalkeeper Gervasio Vargas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 15 played minutes DEVILL RED got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Eskuin. 17 minutes into the game, Herminio Bero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gervasio Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 minutes, Aldo Erlantz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DEVILL RED and the C.A.KIMBERLEY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aldo Erlantz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, C.A.KIMBERLEY's Braulio Dalmai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gervasio Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Osman Likmetaj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gervasio Vargas was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Primitivo Papo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half C.A.KIMBERLEY were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Osman Likmetaj made the kick off in the second half. Braulio Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braulio Dalmais short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Gervasio Vargas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 60 in the game by Braulio Dalmai from a close distance when the talented Gervasio Vargas managed to make a qualified save. DEVILL RED's players were relieved. After 62 played minutes DEVILL RED got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Duarte. Osman Likmetajs short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Gervasio Vargas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Herminio Bero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Dalmai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gervasio Vargas firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 78 played minutes C.A.KIMBERLEY got a freekick which was hit by Simon Beturian. In the 83rd minute, C.A.KIMBERLEY's Osman Likmetaj ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gervasio Vargas. Gervasio Vargas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5.
