An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Florian in the 15th minute of play forced Nonogasta's goalkeeper Evaristo Efraim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Nonogasta's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Shepherd came free, but Evaristo Efraim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Herminio Ponc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When La Paternal's Elpidio Shepherd, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for La Paternal. La Paternal's Ivan Florian got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elpidio Shepherd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Efraim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Elpidio Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Paternal's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Efraim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Nonogasta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Paternal were winning 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Florian kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evaristo Efraim. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. After 58 played minutes Nonogasta got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Ponc. Melquiades Barto, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ivan Florian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Efraim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Evaristo Efraim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivan Florian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ivan Florian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes Nonogasta got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Ponc. Elpidio Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nonogasta's Evaristo Efraim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Florian in the 73rd minute of play. Ivan Florian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Efraim having to interfere. With a little luck, Nonogasta's Evaristo Efraim got control of the ball when Elpidio Shepherd tried to sneak it across the goal line. La Paternal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
